What is unique about the place you live, or is it famous for something?
I live in Melbourne, it is a very special city. It was actually voted the most liveable city in the world a few times. Before the pandemic, the atmosphere was just simply incredible. Whether you were in a bar, restaurant, museum, at a concert or a sporting event, the vibe was electric. I really hope we can get back to that sooner rather than later.
Through lockdown, what has been your favourite thing to do at the weekend?
My favourite thing to do on the weekends, and basically every day is reading Dr Wayne Dyer’s books and watching his lectures. Even though he has passed, he is one of the most important teachers & mentors in my life. His work and teachings have helped transform the lives of millions of people, including mine.
Any side hustles or skills you want to share with us?
Before COVID, I was touring the world as a DJ and also ran 2 nightclubs in the heart of Melbourne. Since getting sober, I have been diving deep into my passion of service and helping others, so I started life coaching. I have now worked with over 20 clients and it has been super fulfilling and rewarding to have such a positive impact on someone’s life.
What cheeky banger has been playing through your speakers on repeat for the last 6 months?
Status Quo – Rockin’ All Over The World. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BANGER!!
So many people tell me that I’m an old soul and are 100% sure that I was reincarnated because my taste in music is literally all 60s-80s haha, not complaining though.
Favourite Friday night dinner at home or restaurant?
There’s a restaurant at Crown in Melbourne called Rockpool. the best steaks ever. I can’t wait to get back there when the hospitality industry reopens. I’m a sucker for fine dining, however I’m settling for a nice Friday night Pizza at the moment.
Tell us about your current projects and what you’ve been working on?
I’m working on a few projects. I’m currently attempting one year sober to raise funds for a mental health & suicide prevention charity. Also launched a life coaching business to help 18-25 year olds discover their purpose, follow their passion and be their true creative selves. I’m also in the process of starting a podcast & writing a book to share my story of becoming an international DJ, the demons I battled in the process, and the steps I took to overcome them. I decided to open up and share my personal battles with alcohol & substance abuse with the hope to inspire others who may be going through similar struggles, to seek help if they need it. For the first time in a long time, I feel alive again.
